How to preserve children's drawings without filling a cupboard

Keeping every sheet is difficult, but throwing drawings away feels wrong. Preserve the meaning rather than every piece of paper.

Start with a digital archive

Photograph each drawing in daylight, keep the phone level, and name the file with the child's name and year. Keep two copies.

Choose a few heroes of the year

Once a year, let your child choose three to five favorites. Ask who the characters are and why they matter.

Give the drawing a new form

Turn a favorite into a postcard, calendar, rotating frame, or a figurine. The memory stays visible instead of disappearing into a box.
